Lawrence Danter is the Chief Operating Officer of the Investment Manager. In addition to being a key member of the Investment Committee and overseeing the Fund’s Risk Management function, Mr. Danter will direct all aspects of the non-investment side of the firm.
Mr. Danter has more than 25 years of experience with some of the world’s leading hedge funds and banks, specializing primarily in risk management and operations with a focus on infrastructure and process development. Throughout his career, Mr. Danter has been recognized as a thought leader in risk management and transparency reporting.
He joins EEAM after serving as a Managing Director at CoreCommodity Management, where he was responsible for growing the firm’s flagship absolute return fund. Prior to his time at CoreCommodity, Mr. Danter was a Managing Partner and the Chief Operating Officer at Jamison Capital Partners, where he led the firm’s expansion from a single manager, 12 employee hedge fund with $500 million under management to a multi-manager, 40 employee, institutional-quality hedge fund with over $2 billion peak assets under management. Prior to Jamison, Mr. Danter served for more than eight years at Tudor Investment Corporation, where he managed risk for all North American portfolio managers and developed a pioneering transparency platform.
Between 1997 and 2002, he was Head of the Risk Management departments in Europe and Asia for Mizuho Capital Markets. Mr. Danter’s core competency in building and adapting world-class fund infrastructure, while managing the firm’s risk and providing transparent investor relations, will be paramount in the rapidly developing environmental markets space.
When Mr. Danter is not enjoying his spare time with his wife and three children, he is busy applying all the skills he uses at EEAM on the poker felt as an avid tournament poker player.
